Electronics

We in the electronics department still need to research some of the parts. I know how to wire most of the components, but I still need to find information about encoders. It is not easy to find information about wiring encoders, in part due to there being many different types of encoders. We are using Grayhill 63R’s, which makes the information easier to look up since I at least know what type of encoder it is.

We got the new electronic parts. A lot of them are really strange, and far different from the ones we were researching (2005 and 2006). The breaker panels were changed, and they have been made in a way that looks like it will be much harder to wire. There are also two breaker panels now. Additionally, the breaker panel no longer distributes the power. Instead there is a block of connectors that looks like legos. I think having the parts spread farther out, and functions seperated, will make it easier to wire the components together.
