Off-season

Indiana Robotics Invitational
This past summer, The Holy Cows attended the Indiana Robotics Invitational (IRI) for the third time. Here, we surpassed all previous achievements we had made in years before, and became semi-finalists in the competition. In addition to this, The Holy Cows' lead mentor, Jon Jack (right), won IRI Mentor of the Year.

SCRRF Fall Classic
On September 24th, The Holy Cows drove up to Burbank to compete in an off-season competition, the Southern California Regional Robotics Forum, using last-season's robot. Out of the 22 teams competing, The Holy Cows were able to achieve victory alongside teams 973 and 3973, and were personally awarded the Peer-Favorite Award and the Quality Award.

Battle at the Border
On October 15th, The Holy Cows and Team 2485 - The W.A.R. Lords co-hosted the pre-season competition “Battle at the Border”. Twenty-one teams from across Southern California gathered at Francis Parker High School to compete and give to charity (American Cancer Society and San Diego Food Bank). The Holy Cows won the event with alliance partners teams 399 and 2493, and took home the peer-voted Quality Award.
