HORIZONTAL LINES
Horizontal lines in Team 1538’s design system follow the International Style: they are used sparingly and with purpose. As with grid systems and sans-serif typography, lines add structure and clarity without decoration. They guide the eye, separate sections, and reinforce a clean, minimal layout—never filling space for its own sake. This restraint keeps the focus on content and aligns with the style’s emphasis on readability and objectivity.

Horizontal lines can be used to help focus attention or provide structure to a layout. The philosophy behind using horizontal lines is to go big or go thin. All lines should be either 4 point or larger or smaller than 1 point.
